Simplicity in design often takes a lot of work. The end result of these best-selling self-help books is a cohesive, fresh, modern approach. Being idea-driven, they went through several iterations to get to that point. They had to sit together whilst retaining their own personalities and highlight a concept or aspect of their content. Some of the existing covers were dated, some iconic, so tackling those things and making a new start was key. In the end, ideas sat with bright colours and a flexible layout. A series logo was also integrated, often interacting with the idea elements, such as the parrot perching on 'How to Win Friends and Influence People'. The successful solutions have led to five more titles being commissioned for the series.
