I worked closely with Project [ Blank ] to refresh their branding. They are a San Diego-based arts nonprofit that produces immersive, interdisciplinary events and performances, including chamber music concerts, art exhibitions, and contemporary operas. They wanted the brand to be accessible, inviting, and bright. The entire refresh revolved around the 'fill-in-the-blank' concept, using the bracket motif as a graphic touchpoint throughout.
While retaining their existing logo, I adjusted the branding by changing the white to an off-white and selecting a bright but less primary color palette. The typography was simplified, using a bold sans-serif for headers and a more informational sans-serif for body copy. For imagery, I combined illustration, collage, and hand-drawn elements.
