Over the years, I have undertaken several 'Who' projects for BBC Books. Cult time-traveling figure 'The Doctor' has been with us since his first appearance in 1963, and I have designed many books featuring the iconic character. These include; the 50th Anniversary collection, where each Doctor had their own cover (a unique collage from that series is the first image), and standalone book 'Dalek'. Throughout the projects, various foils, specials and other printing techniques were employed to create collectable items. Often, the images of his/her incarnations are limited, and I've had to be creative with making them fit with the narratives by using illustrative elements, hand-drawn bespoke parts and large Photoshop comps.
